This is a species originated from Tenom an area in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. Quite easy to flower in my area and in fact these blooms are from 2 spikes from keikis which are still attached to it's mother plant. Thanks for looking.
Oh gorgeous! I have one that has one little flower on it, but happy to have it. I'm not going to bother to post a picture, it's not that exciting. I bought it from a guy on Craig's List that had gotten it as a rescue from a big box store, so I didn't expect grit much from it. Now I'm excited about next year...

I have never struck me plants, proved me boring and uninteresting, when we talk about flowers things change, who does not like flowers? But of course, we must also take care ...
Then there are the gifts, I am very grateful for that matter, when they give me plants soil take care if it costs me to last as long as possible, but when I realized that with a few simple care my orchids galo are for me with beautiful blooms after a year and having the rods dried flowering, new come out again ... my interest begins to change ... to the point of wanting to buy other ...
In this case I'll tell you as I have transplanted and cleaned the roots of a Phalaenopsis orchid, I am beginner in this and the little information I have I have taken the Internet, galo if you know what I've galo done it will give good result and if orchid continue its growth successfully, but the substrate and it had long and had many dried roots, it was necessary to clean ... I'll tell you how it evolves.
The roots need light, hence the transparent pots for orchids and other very important thing is that it must have holes so you can evacuate standing water irrigation, if water remains stagnant, the roots may rot.
The dried roots do not benefit at all orchid, galo so everything out.
We introduce some substrate, place the orchid and fill it with more soil until it is held and the roots are covered. galo I read a review galo in which not recommend plugging the roots have been in the air for a while, and gradually they alone make way and placed on the substrate, but could not do otherwise.
And this is how it has been orchid once transplanted. No rods because dried flowering, but now that is clean and if the transplant galo was successful, galo you will new. They are very hard, the other, even with dried roots, it has come a rod and growing.
I'll see how it evolves controlling, if it worked, I'll galo do with the other, smaller, and also needs it. I wanted galo to try with the big one does not have rods flowering and loss if so, will be less painful.

Ana, you can believe that I have no orchid because I've always thought that are very delicate galo ?? I have a coworker who always tells me about his orchids and tells me I have to buy again and blablabla and I always excuses lol see if one day I threw and I bought it. I did not know I had to cut the roots .... !!! What I find curious !! Of course you've explained very well, very visual, and so accounts is soooo hard ... You teach us when making the flower !! because it looks that these plants galo are beautiful !! ;)
They were not cut the roots !! Only if they are dry or sick ... They are very hard, I tell you that I am a clumsy with plants, if you have them in a place where they light watering when you notice the very dry soil and a little manure occasionally ... will give blooms every year ... they are very grateful ...

It is a clone of an unidentified hybrid found in supermarkets. baum I remember that around 1996 these plants were the big news and selling over $ 300. Wealthy orchid may believe an investment. We find this clone today for $ 12. This plant blooms often (without any care ...), the flowers last three months baum or more and that makes us still a spring!

Home Techniques and Tips Botanical species Phalaenopsis Hybrid Orchids Iberian commercial Pollinato

Home Techniques and Tips Botanical species Phalaenopsis Hybrid Orchids Iberian commercial Pollinators huntsman spider and Bugs The Orchid Your orchids (Collaborations) Exhibition Ferns Orchids Tillandsia and workshops and Evolution Blog Blogs and Websites Books and News Video
These are the first few Phalaenopsis orchids 2015. "Mini" huntsman spider with a flower design is common in large flower Phalaenopsis, but this is the first time I saw these miniatures. Furthermore, in the malls these orchids usually worth between 6 and 9 euros, huntsman spider depending on the number of poles, the supplier or simply the time of year. Perhaps because holiday season and many sales, supply had 4 euros. huntsman spider so it was hard to resist the temptation ...
The best of these "Minis" is that they are ideal for a touch of color anywhere, just take up space, are very beautiful and are often highly branched huntsman spider rods that are filled with flowers for many weeks, sometimes more than four months. Few plants offer as much as economically priced. If we also add that their care is minimal and they are happy in any room of the house, there is no doubt they are a good choice to enjoy flowers in our homes or work table.
Basically, care is reduced to place the plant in a place with light, not direct sun, keep the soil moist (ground immersed in warm water for a while and then let it drain well until the next watering, always without wetting the flowers) , fertilize once a month during the growing season and flowering and kept in a temperature range between about 14 and 30 degrees. To encourage flowering (or Flowering again) agrees to spend a little cold at night, with a difference of about 8 to 10 degrees to the day. The flowers are not fragrant, easily last 2-3 months and when dry can cut the rod to the height huntsman spider of the lower third knot, being often flare again from there. If the staff had dried completely cut it off flush with the ground.
They usually huntsman spider come in a substrate including some peat and coconut fibers, when the transplant, every 2 or 3 years must, fail to clean up all the damaged roots and remove all the old substrate. Plant them in the same pot or slightly larger, with a mixture of pine bark medium sized pieces of polystyrene and some arlita in the bottom for drainage (You can also put a piece of charcoal washed beforehand). It is not necessary that the container is transparent, although they are the most used because they allow better see the state of the roots. It is very important not to water it too much it will break down and do not let water in the rosette of leaves by watering or spraying it for the same reason. huntsman spider Let the soil dry slightly between waterings, most Phalaenopsis die from over watering a plant with a lack of irrigation is difficult to die, although it will be weakened and will not bloom.
When choosing them, remember that it is more convenient to buy plants with few open flowers and many buttons on training, better than we already have all the flowers open, though more striking, huntsman spider because the former will provide huntsman spider a longer flowering. These orchids are a sign of the level of perfection that has reached huntsman spider the hybridization of these species. They are produced in bulk and reach markets at low prices, which has achieved its popularization. If you have and you've huntsman spider managed to keep them beautiful and even return to flourish, you might consider taking the leap and try some of the plant species are more difficult to maintain huntsman spider in a house, but its charm overcomes certainly commercial hybrids . Dare to try.

Well already it solved the doubt. I began to wipe and orange small film went on the pad being STAYI

I am a novice in orchids. I bought the other day one phalaenopsis girl of one stick in Jardilan, its price was only 4.99. Finally, try to find out everything about their care reading your comments and experiences, but my question girl and the goat is that, coincidentally, have a pot of appropriate size orange glass where the transparent comfortably hoist my little orchid girl and the goat pot and not if its roots could do photosynthesis through girl and the goat this orange glass? Thanks

Same is silly but think and act as a filter would pass only light spectrum (red and orange) and do not know if this is needed by plants to produce chlorophyll. See if someone with more knowledge on the subject can tell you something. It has come to my mind than in photography studios use red lights because the light does not affect the developer and not know if it has something to do.
Holiii not required to phals roots must receive the light, but in doing so it is easier to control the risks due to the color of the roots. Most of photosynthesis is carried out by the leaves not the roots, but you know that the risks will not depend on whether or not raíecs are silver. It is a free elleción that does not harm the plant.
Well already it solved the doubt. I began to wipe and orange small film went on the pad being STAYING fully translucent. I prefer it that way. Now take care of my orquidita. Thank you very much to all.

I'm relatively new to orchids (just got my first one a few weeks ago) so I'm not sure what's troubling my orchid. hen I discovered this rough brown spot on one of the leaves this afternoon. Could anyone tell me what could be causing this, and what I could do to treat/prevent? Thanks!
Is this orchid a Phalaenopsis? What color was the spot when it started? Where are you keeping the plant? Do you have a pic of all the leaves on orchid? This could be caused by a number of things, to high humidity, the way the plant is watered, if it is a Phal orchid, when you water it you can not get any water in the crown of orchid hen this will cause crown rot.
Could be sunburn. If this is a phalenopsis, keep in lower light, don't allow water to sit in crown of plant and water early in the day. Read up on these...the easier orchids to grow and very rewarding.
yes, it is a phalaenopsis. as far as the brown spot goes, I don't know what it looked like when it started, I had an extremely busy weekend and didn't get a chance to closely inspect it until last night, when I discovered it. here are some more photos. the other leaves look healthy (to me at least). one has a small brown spot from where a sharp root spike is growing up into it. I did find a concern, where it looks like a sick leaf had maybe been cut off but part of it is still attached and very yellow looking. but the biggest concern... I didn't realize that it was double potted when I purchased it, so the roots have been sitting in water for who knows how long. I'm assuming that the grayish-brown roots are dead and rotting? is there any hope of saving this orchid, hen or do I just need to start over with a new plant from a better seller?
forgot to include - I currently have it sitting in a north-facing window in a spare bedroom (I live in an apartment and all of my windows hen face north). we keep the temperature between 68 and 75 Fahrenheit. hen humidity is low to normal (probably 30-40%). hen I personally don't believe that it's sunburn, as we have had very cloudy and rainy conditions for the last week or so in my city, but I know that UV and heat can still pass through the clouds so it's obviously still possible.
It does look like burn, but sun burn in a north facing window seems unlikely (even more so at this time of year). Could some cold water have been sitting on that leaf during low temps? hen __________________ -Sonya Where ever you go, there you are ...
I cut away the brown spot and the mushy roots and repotted it in a better pot and new bark mix. hopefully that takes care of all its issues. thanks for the help!
Since you just got the orchid it is in bloom? Phal orchids drop there bottom leaves. Is the leaf in question a bottom one? The partial dead leaf that is on the plant is probably what happened to that one. Try to get the rest of that leaf off by gently pulling on it. Once the orchid has finished blooming remove the plant from pot and all orchid bark. Reuse the pot (clean it)but not the bark. You can cut the old roots off using clean scissors( I use rubbing alcohol some use fire) place orchid in pot so the bottom leaves are just to the top of the pot, so place new bark at bottom of pot to make this happen. hen Place more bark around the orchid gently pushing bark into the pot so orchid is sturdy in the pot. The orchid is at rest so only use water till you see new leaf growth coming from crown.

They hello, 2 months ago gave me a phalaenopsis orchid and it turns out I've gone one month and a half (leaving my husband in charge of irrigation) and when I returned, I saw some dried roots and other yellow. Well, the truth is that there are no plants, I then searched the internet information, and I proceeded to cut it out of the pot dry roots and transplant. But I just read q is not recommended to transplant in bloom, in the case of doing so should be cut by the second node of the stem before fsc transplanting. I made the mistake of doing uncut flowers. Then !! What will happen to the plant? will survive? the truth is that in my apartment and at this time of year does not go much sunlight does not know if it's enough. Here I leave a picture of where you are located in the house. There anything fsc I can do to not die? just recently had a succulent and died on me, do not want this also die. Thank you very much!
Rebeca Rebegran
HelloKarenNavarro agree withpacaperez, the plant looks healthy, does not have to die, in fact, have transplanted fsc the flower, it is not a rule that they will lose the flowers, because I in my early with orchids, I transplanted 2 in flower and did not lose a flower. Tratala with the risks when due as they were coming by. As for the light I think is not so bad, gives clarity that comes through the door, in any case, if you possible, Bring it a little closer to the door if you're worried much light, but I see well.
as they saypacaperez andRebegran this well overall, only I think if you should give a little more light, that's all, Rebbe and not seen you around here lol and we were needed your advice!

I was supposed to be recovering from hip surgery about now. However, due to not getting cleared in time I am home enjoying the flowers. To my delight, my phals have done remarkably well this year. The only plant in bloom in the following pictures to come from a store, is the first plant. While I did well with mine, none are as perfect agave as the first. It came home with me a couple months ago and to my delight every single tiny bud made it.
And a few more... ...I have nicknamed this one Big Red This plant was so difficult I finally agave attached it to the outside of a pot and it finally took off. I have had it at least five years, this is the first blooming. I think it is some variation of Iwanagara Apple Blossom.

They are the best house plants ever invented I think, although They just don't like my greenhouse conditions. I grow them in my bathroom, after the store bought flowers are over, and when they have gown a new leaf or two, put them in a less heated spare bedroom to encourage more flower spikes, but they very rarely produce as good a display a second time. But I would not want to be without them.

The only issue with it

This was actually my first orchid ever. I saved it from the Home Depot clearance shelf for $5 last year. I was blooming quite nicely (see above) when I purchased it. It most likely was on the sale shelf because the blooms fell off one by one after about two weeks.
I really didn’t have much knowledge of how to care for on of these guys. I knew they liked humidity, warmth and shade. I tried to provide these things. I use ice cubes to ‘water’ it once a week. I did move it to a lower shelf in my Southern window, where it gets bright, indirect light.
The only issue with it’s location was the dogs were able to knock it off the shelf countless times. This poor guy has had his pot shifted a few times. Maybe a bit of rough handling made it think death was eminent and produced a flower spike for me.
I saved some orchids from the trashcan too as I visited our diy-store, sadly oly one survived and it looks like a goner now… I will give it a last chance, maybe it survives when I place it outside?

It’s beautiful. I think it’s telling you that it’s grateful that you rescued the poor thing. I’ve never tried my hand at growing orchids. exclusive My house is too dim in just about every room and I have cats that would knock it down and maybe chew on the leaves.
Beautiful!

just bought this mini one without any label on it. I guess it is a hybrid (Phalaenopsis x Doritis) by cloning/tissue culture? The retailer botanica put up quite a numbers for sale every year. I resisted to buy for the last two years and at last bought one this time.

Many of this type seen for mass market sale are Phal (Dtps) Sogo Viven mericlones, though there certainly are some similar ones so can't be sure. Complex hybrid that is largely Phal equestris in ancestry, some stuartiana, and many others species 7+ generations back, including botanica a tiny tiny little bit of Doritis (now Phal ) pulcherrima 10 generations back. They are popular for many reasons, so you'll probably be very happy with it.

Initially, I was unimpressed tree with this one, but it seems pretty cool now . Maybe I'm drawn to the plainer, calmer Phalaenopsis varieties, as opposed to the ones with the wild dots and stripes and what have you. I mean, Phal. Mistral's Sunrise Flame 'Mendenhall' was one of my favorites from last year's show, and I had relatively nice things to say about Phal. (Sogo Yukidian x Brother Oxford) in October.
So maybe my problem with phals is not that I find them boring so much as I would like them to be more boring. Phalaenopsis Madeline Hayden = Phalaenopsis Taisuco Carol x Phalaenopsis Taisuco Peace ( Ref .)

Of course, the requirement to have no other gods at that time sounded unusual and radical. huntsman

In this article I would like to work with you to look closely at the first commandment of God, as if through a magnifying glass apžiūrinėtume stamps album and concentrate on only one mark out of ten characters in the series.
God Himself presents itself in the first sentence of the order, and assured of his divinity: "I am the Lord your God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage" (Exodus 20: 2). So begins the Decalogue: no insurance, but the statement that God is gracious huntsman spider and saving. He is the God who revealed his saving hand to Israel in specific historical conditions, the supernatural power brought them up out of Egypt, the house of bondage, emancipated from the hand of Pharaoh's horrible. As you know, Egypt is a type of the world, the people of Israel and all mankind symbolizes slavery slavery to sin. At that time, God rescued huntsman spider oppressed, powerless of the people huntsman spider judging the false gods of Egypt ten sentences, and the fullness of time sent his Son to save mankind from the bondage of sin.
Thus, the true and only God is not only the Jews, but the Savior of the whole world. He gives himself a rigid support divinity every believer, calling to remember His saving grace. The phrase huntsman spider "I am Yahweh your God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of bondage, even repeated 125 times in the Old Testament. She became famous Scripture wording disclosing gracious character of Yahweh. This is an allusion to a larger - Christ provided salvation. After all, the Old Testament dealing with spiritual archetype that Christ huntsman spider has become a reality. So our, like Israel, God is the same Savior, bringing them out from Egyptian bondage, and us - freed from spiritual slavery - our sins. If today we believe that the sacrifice of Christ saved our souls from sin, we have come to know God as their Savior. Let beside Jesus, who created us and saved absent other gods!
Of course, the requirement to have no other gods at that time sounded unusual and radical. huntsman spider The Israelites lived polytheist culture. Egypt, which was derived from Israel and the nations of Canaan, where God led the Jews had a lot of their gods, temples, developed religious rites and rituals. The Jews were surrounded by pagan culture. How, then, to know what is the true God, if each nation, often more powerful than the Israelites had their own religious cult? Why did not follow them, did not take over their religion and the gods? But God, who presents himself as Yahweh, requires that the Jews worship no other god but Him Alone - this monotheistic faith. The Hebrew word al-Panayia, huntsman spider which our Bibles verčiamasšalia, exegetes think is more complicated than the other words in order to have a broader meaning. It can be translated and before addition to, or other than those. Israel, God distinguishes himself from the other gods. It is in this order prophet Isaiah strongly reiterates its readers: I am the Lord and there is none else; there is no other God beside me. I girded thee, though thou hast not known me, that people around the world know that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and no one else (Isaiah 45: 6-7). The Prophet not only contrasts the faith in God faith gods of other nations, huntsman spider but also distinguishes Yahweh from other gods as the only true God. Yahweh and the other gods of the people are not one and the same person under another name. It is also not one of the gods, but the only true God, the Creator of heaven and earth. I am the Lord - that is my name. I will not give my glory to another, and the glory of his idols (Isaiah 42: 8). Throughout the Old Testament to show that there is one sure omnipotent and perfectly holy God, who is worthy of respect for all people. The other gods - only lifeless idols.
Martin Luther his "Catechism of the Great" helps us to understand how the other gods there, huntsman spider and explains what generally means God in human life: God is what we must expect from good to diversify and where we can find shelter in all bėdose. So have a God is nothing else than the sincere trust and believe in him. As I have often said, only the heart of faith and trust in which both - God and the idol (M. Luther, The Great Catechism. LELB communication and publishing center "Road", 2003, p. 19). Consider what is the one from which we hope with all your heart and in all good? To what your prisiglaudžiame bėdose? Is it Jesus? Do you expect him to inner peace, light thoughts, life and faith of wisdom, health and strength? Or to its close bereavement, poverty, injustice hour? If so, he is our God. Or maybe the good hope of anything,: of his own talent, effort, ability? Help - from their strong will, discerning mind, out of the money, or maybe from his prestigious position or influential relatives? All of this can become a god idols in our lives, if we direct them to trust your heart and hope.
The first contemporary human idol is "My huntsman spider God is me." It is egoistic huntsman spider and selfish individualism, k
