Recycled art Differenziamoci - "create to think" | Defra Art
Barry, September 7, 2012-E 'was opened to the public art exhibition titled "Differenziamoci" - to create thinking, curated by art laboratory Defra and organized by the Pro Loco of Barry, the Association. C.EUR and sponsored by the town of Barry. The show was created and developed by a reflection linked to the current condition, about the problem of waste and their disposal. Through different artistic proposals will give an added value to what we have defined sustainability creative. Each artist will present an installation made with found materials, "such recycled art." Civil society is made of individuals and institutions. Not always pest one or the other seem to be able to identify the needs of the organization of space in which we live. To remedy that breach the exhibition Differenziamoci can make its first contribution also highlighting this issue, highlighting the disconnect between civil society and institutions. Today you can still give life to waste? We call them waste, and as such throw them away. Yet if we think of a creative recycling, we could provide an alternative answer to the excessive production of garbage. This "secondary raw material" and the creative recycling, are not so brilliant insights for their own sake, as the knowledge that the reduction of waste passes through the art. But the art, mind you well, is not only that of exhibition; it is also the act daily witty and intuitive able to catch a glimpse, beyond the immediacy of things, a new utility in objects that no longer seem to have one. In this sense, art becomes a powerful communication tool through which to launch strong messages, distribute awareness, educate a critical consumption, a true ecological consciousness. Were invited to participate in various artists doing just that their subject matter, they tried to make their contribution, bringing into play their creativity through heterogeneous materials, enhancing them in all their diversity. The artists are: Salvatore Aleo, Daniele Alonge, Valentina Bonincontro, Pascale Corbeel, pest Roberto Caputo, Marco Danese, Georgia De Angelis, Gino Faraci, Stephanie Giunta, Angela Ingala, Salvatore Ingala, Mary Leonardi, Natasha Lo Nigro, Santo Nicoletti, Francesco Paterno, Giovanni Ruggeri, Giuseppe Ruggeri, Denise Tambe, Innocent Torrisi,'s Tube Design - Joseph A. Paterno and Yuri Zuccalà. With the presence of works done by the guys AIAS "Concetta D'Alessandro" Onlus of Caltagirone.
