Many of the film buffs have probably looked fig at 2012 as a year to get a good return on cinema ticket, fig we've already seen The Hunger Games, The Avengers and Dark Shadows, there is still much cream again, and here they are ...
The director behind the first Alien movie is back and promises an intense and terrifying return of the universe we have come to love. Noomi Rapace plays Elizabeth Shaw, (successor of Ripley). The trailers are simply insane, and the film is as good as it looks like it can end up being one of the best films this year.
History of Snøvhvit have been told a few times before, the last time was Mirror Mirror from March this year. In this edition has newcomer Rupert Sanders decided to take the story to new heights, visual and size. With Chris Hemsworth and Charlize fig Theron on board, this can be superb stuff, it remains of course to see if Kristen Stewart manages to make a satisfactory performance.
One of grom films this year, the reboot of the character Spider-Man, who in 2007 received a rather undignified end Sam Raimis trilogy. Andrew Garfield is Spider victim this time, and the bad guy is none other than the Lizard. Many were skeptical enough of a reboot, but the trailers that have come in the past year, should turn pout upside down.
The final chapter of the movie about Batman, at least for now. Batman lands on the wrong foot with the Court, his most cunning and hard-hitting opponent so far. For those who thought it was impossible to surpass the previous film The Dark Knight, will probably soon get a jaw-dropping experience, fig buckle up and set the date of July 25th, this is going to be a day to remember.
Okay, so there is no reason to believe that this will be the year's great success, but it is still allowed to hope, that there may be a whopping choo choo history lesson of the slightly less empirical kind. The film is not likely to take themselves very seriously, and it's probably also why the movie going to work fine over medium, this could be fun.
Its predecessor from 2010 was simply a mindless weapon fig orgy of the worst kind, but because it was just that and nothing else, the film was prized by most people, yours truly included, the film was the definition of tough. The only thing we wanted was to get more of this wonderful fig work, and we did, with a few bonuses, Schwarzenegger, Willis, Norris and Van Damme.
Norway's contribution this summer's blockbuster movie Kon Tiki, which is of the people behind Max Manus, many good actors, beautiful locations and hopefully good action is to be expected. Directors promises groundbreaking effects, and good storytelling, and if we are to judge anything from the trailer, this seems to be very true.
Last time Utropia wrote his "summer movie expectations" wrote the author Pixar movie Cars 2 was a guaranteed bright film, because it was just Pixar was behind, but this was something called a "roar". For although Brave looks to be pretty good, I will not be as absolutely certain, fig it all looks more carried out, and hopefully it is. Other goodies throughout the year are: The Bourne Legacy, Skyfall, The Hobbit, Django Unchained
