As part of the Tokyo Game Show trailer (that you can see at the bottom of the post), Capcom showcased a modern apartment without explaining its purpose and features. Today they finally mulch took to Twitter to give us a glimpse on what it is for, including a new screenshot (that you can enjoy above).
I would like to briefly introduce the 2094 stage called “the room” today. The room is a two-floors structure, and it’s literally the place where the hero (the player) lives in New York. The screenshot shows the second floor.
Interior furniture like the Toro and Kuro (the two mascots of PlayStation Japan) shown in the TGS trailer can be placed freely in the room. You can also decorate the walls with free wallpapers mulch and posters. It’s thought as a place to come back to and “heal” after the fierce fighting in the dungeons.
From the sound of it (even if this is just my personal speculation), the room is probably one of the focuses of the game’s free to play microtransaction strategy. There probably will be a number of free furniture mulch options and a whole array of premium pieces of decor that you’ll have to purchase in some sort of cash shop.
